What to Do When Feeling Overwhelmed

Create your personal inner sanctuary

Remember the beauty of your inner sanctuary which is available to you at all times.

The outer world is not what counts or should serve as your compass. Instead, going within will help you navigate your life.

Remember to ground your energy into your body, connecting deeply into earth. Take a few deep breaths, allow yourself to sink within. Feel your inner peace.

If you have not yet created an image of your unique inner sanctuary, now would be a good time to set this up. Be in stillness, ideally in nature, and follow where your heart wants to lead you. You may set up your inner sanctuary in a cave, on a beach, in a forest, in a hut, on the top of the mountains — whatever feels right for you. 

Allow the image to come forward and fill it with color and detail. What can you smell? Are there any sounds? Can you feel the air on your skin? 

Let your sanctuary embrace you with safety and inner warmth, like a loving hug or the feeling of a hot chocolate on a chilly day. 

Set the intention for this image to be your inner anchor of stillness and peace. And whenever you are feeling overwhelmed by the outer world, which is an omnipresent energy on the planet at this stage, connect back with this space of inner peace. Drop within. Summon the image. Feel golden light surrounding you. Connect with the safety that is you.
